Party Dress Event: Guests Confirmed

This December, we’re inviting all fashion lovers and sustainability advocates to join us for an exciting and eco-chic event at The Fashion School in Chelsea, a renowned institution at the forefront of fashion education, blending creativity with sustainability in a vibrant environment.

Party Dress

On Saturday, December 14th, 5-6:30 PM, we’re hosting an exclusive party dress event that will not only inspire you to rethink your wardrobe, but also give you the chance to meet some of the leading figures in sustainable fashion.

The evening will kick off with our engaging podcast interview featuring two incredible guests: Caroline Gration, the Founder and Director of The Fashion School, and Hannah Riley, an Associate Lecturer and Visiting Practitioner and London College of Fashion, UAL, Digital Content Officer at the renowned Centre for Sustainable Fashion, and Founder of Fashion Recipes for the Future. The interview, lasting approximately 15 minutes, will delve into the pressing topics of sustainability, fashion education, and the growing importance of circular fashion in today’s industry.

What is Circular Fashion?

Circular fashion is all about rethinking the lifecycle of clothing. Instead of following the traditional linear model — where clothes are bought, worn and discarded — circular fashion promotes reusing, recycling and redesigning items to reduce waste and extend their lifespan.

This concept ties directly into the increasing awareness of fashion’s environmental impact, and it’s a topic we’re passionate about exploring with our guests. We’ll discuss everything from the innovative ways sustainable fashion is taught in schools, to how brands and consumers alike are adopting circular practices to create a more responsible fashion industry.

What to Expect

The event will feature a unique swap-and-buy experience. This is your chance to refresh your wardrobe sustainably — without the guilt! Whether you’re looking to swap your party dress for a fresh look or pick up a pre-loved or out-of-season gem, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s how it works:

  • Swap a Party Dress: Have a dress you wore once or twice and are ready to pass on? Bring it along and trade it for something new-to-you.

  • Pre-loved Treasures: Not interested in swapping? No problem! You can still purchase pre-loved items that are carefully curated for the event, offering a sustainable alternative to buying new.

  • Out-of-Season Fashion: Trends may be ever-changing, but circular fashion shows us that styles don’t go out of fashion — they just need to be reimagined! Our event will feature items that may be "out of season," but still relevant in today’s wardrobe.

We’re thrilled to host this event at the Fashion School in Chelsea, a hub for innovation and creativity in the fashion industry. The venue itself is a stunning blend of old-world charm and cutting-edge design, making it the perfect backdrop for our circular fashion gathering.
